This page provides transparency on our commitments to non-discrimination, informed consents, and other regulatory disclosures, ensuring equal access to our telemedicine services. By using our Services, you acknowledge these disclosures, which are incorporated into our Terms of Service. Notice of Non-Discrimination and Accessibility Requirements

The DocLine complies with all applicable federal and state civil rights laws, including but not limited to Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act. The DocLine does not discriminate, exclude individuals, or treat them differently on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or sex stereotypes), ancestry, religion, creed, marital status, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other characteristic or status protected by federal, state, or local law.

In providing our telemedicine services, which facilitate virtual non-emergency consultations for conditions such as urinary tract infections (UTI) and anxiety, we are committed to ensuring equal access and meaningful participation for all users. This includes accommodating the unique aspects of remote healthcare delivery, such as secure video and audio platforms.

Services Provided Free of Charge and in a Timely Manner

To ensure accessibility and effective communication, The DocLine provides the following services free of charge and without undue delay:

  • Language Assistance Services for individuals with limited English proficiency (including companions):
    • Qualified interpreters (in-person, over-the-phone, or video remote interpreting as appropriate for telemedicine).
    • Translation of vital documents, notices, and communications into the user’s primary language.
    • Oral interpretation during consultations or support interactions.
  • Appropriate Auxiliary Aids and Services for individuals with disabilities (including companions):
    • Qualified sign language interpreters, including American Sign Language (ASL) via video remote interpreting for virtual sessions.
    • Information in alternative formats, such as large print, Braille, audio recordings, accessible electronic formats (e.g., screen-reader compatible PDFs), or other formats as needed.
    • Real-time captioning or text-to-speech tools for audio/video consultations.
    • Assistive listening devices or other accommodations compatible with our platform.
  • Reasonable Modifications to policies, practices, or procedures when necessary to avoid discrimination and ensure equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities to participate in or benefit from our services.

These services are available upon request and will be provided in a manner that protects your privacy and independence, consistent with HIPAA and state privacy laws.

How to Request Assistance

If you need language assistance, auxiliary aids, services, or a reasonable modification:

  • Contact our Civil Rights Coordinator at the details below.
  • Mention your needs during registration, consultation scheduling, or any interaction with our support team.
  • Requests will be processed promptly, typically within 48-72 hours for non-urgent matters, to ensure timely access to services.

We encourage you to inform us of your needs in advance to facilitate seamless accommodations during virtual consultations.

Filing a Grievance with The DocLine

If you believe The DocLine has failed to provide these services, has discriminated against you in any way based on the protected characteristics listed above, or has otherwise violated your civil rights, you may file a grievance. Grievances should include your name, contact information, a description of the issue, and any requested resolution.

  • Grievances may be filed in person, by mail, email, fax, or phone.
  • We will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and provide a written response within 30 days, including any resolution steps.
  • Assistance in filing is available from the Civil Rights Coordinator, and we will not retaliate against you for filing a grievance.
Filing a Civil Rights Complaint with External Authorities

Telemedicine Informed Consent

Our Services involve virtual consultations, offering benefits like convenience but risks such as technical issues or misdiagnosis due to no physical exam. Alternatives include in-person care. Financial Consent

As a self-pay service, you are responsible for all fees at the time of service, with no insurance acceptance. Fees, including temporary offers, are non-refundable except for our technical failures.
